Looking to get away for a writing hiatus? Want to visit our store for a signing and need a place to stay? We’ve got you covered.
Stay with us at the Brewster Book Nook! Situated atop the historic Brewster Book Store, this charming, newly renovated one bedroom apartment comes with well-stocked bookshelves and a cozy reading room.
Writer-in-Residence Program
Our Writer-in-Residence Program provides an author with a complimentary weeklong stay in The Book Nook during February or March! In exchange, the writer will conduct three one-hour sessions at the store which could be any of the following: a book club meeting, writers' workshop, author talk, guest bookselling, blog writing, and/or book signing. During the remainder of their stay, they may use their time as they wish.
To be considered for 2024, interested authors should complete and submit their application by November 1, 2023.
Local Authors
Local Author + Creator Consignment Program
Thank you for your interest in having The Brewster Book Store carry your book/artwork. We value our local authors and creators and are committed to supporting our community by providing our consignment program as one way to connect authors/creators with an audience.
We carry a selection of books written and published by local authors as well as the creative work of local artists. We also periodically host a local author showcase.
To be considered, please complete the application after reviewing the full terms of our consignment policy.
Please note: consignment applications are not reviewed during the summer months.
Please note: We are contacted by hundreds of people asking us to carry their work. The sheer volume of requests, however, extends beyond our available space, and we must use our judgment to determine the work’s saleability. It’s also important to note, we cannot accept review copies in person or by mail, and we are not able to discuss your book in person or via phone/email before receiving your completed form.
